We respect Your Wallet

Money is an interesting thing. It means different things to different people. Money may not buy happiness, but with it you can be miserable in some pretty nice places. Personally, I would just like to help you meet your dental needs without worrying about money. I had that luxury for nine years when I worked in the Indian Health Service. With that background, I truly believe that we are blessed in The United States with a dental care system which involves money. Like it or not, our dental practice is a business and our services do cost money. We recognize that can be a barrier to receiving dental care so we try to make it as “painless” as possible. It is really about value, not cost or money. Are you getting the value you desire? We use the best materials, utilize excellent local labs, have a modern facility with modern technology, and a well-trained professional staff to assist you. A gentleman who is well acquainted with dental offices in Utah told us that he felt that with our expertise, experience, facility, technology, and the quality of our work we should be charging in the upper 90 percentile of fees. We regularly monitor surveys of fees for this area and try to keep our fees just below the middle or median fee. We are not the lowest priced office but we certainly are not the highest, and this is by choice.

There is another consideration in value, one I almost fear to mention because I do not want to be misunderstood. You probably recall a few years ago, or maybe I am the only one old enough, Reader’s Digest had an article where a person went to dental offices around the United States and received treatment plans that ranged in price from one or two hundred dollars to thousands. Some concluded that dentists are dishonest or greedy or whatever. I believe that it illustrated something else, something important in finding dental value. That something is there are differences. There are different business structures and philosophies. There are different philosophies in when to treat problems. There are different procedures that address any problem. There are always choices. I do not feel it is often a matter of right and wrong. It is just a matter of differences. So, you must decide what approach you value. Our approach is very conservative. If we error ,or rather when we error, it is on the side of under treatment, rather than over treat, and we always try our best to help you understand the different options of treatments available. We approach your situation by explaining what is necessary and what is elective If you are wondering if an approach that has been suggested to you is right for you, we are always willing to provide a free consult and share our understanding of different approaches. We respect your values and opinion. That is the theme of our office.

If you want the lowest price, this is not the place for you. Join a Dental Maintenance Organization (DMO). Their fees are so low we can not pay our overhead with that amount. If you want a “best value”, come see what we offer. We believe we are competitive.
